The Chinese giant usually launches Mate series phones later in the year with the P-series launched earlier the same year. As we’ve seen over the years, Mate series phones are usually well-rounded, sometimes business-oriented devices.
On the other hand, the P series offers more stylish, more modern devices, that are more appealing for the younger audience and bring a slew of new features and improvements to Huawei phones.
It hasn’t been long since Huawei unveiled the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro – the company’s latest flagships for last year. And just like before, the company is looking to stay relevant in the market for the year 2019 as well, and won’t back out from giving its competitors a hard time.
Huawei will unveil the P30, the successor to the P20 series this year. While there isn’t much known what the specifications are going to be just yet, we already have some CAD renders that show the upcoming flagship’s design.
Leaked Renders
You can take a look for yourself below:Design-wise, there aren’t going to be many big changes this time around. The notch is being reduced this time to a “waterdrop” size, to stay in line with the new trends. Moreover, there’s no fingerprint sensor visible on the rear, so we’re likely to get an under display fingerprint sensor this time.
Here’s a 360-degree look at the Huawei P30 renders:
While there’s no word on color options just yet, the rear is likely to be made of glass with a new-age gradient finish – that changes color depending on your viewing angle.
Hardware
Internals are definitely going to be top notch (no pun intended). The P30 will get the Kirin 980 chipset, or higher, paired with at least 6 GB RAM. As for the cameras, a 38 MP primary camera is likely to get featured in the phone, which will work with the secondary lens – which is expected to be a 25 MP telephoto shooter – to provide 5x lossless zoom.P-series phones usually have better photography features than their Mate series counterparts, and they usually have some new technology that later gets featured in the next Huawei flagship.
We’ll have to wait and see what Huawei outfits the new P30 phones within the next few months.
