About Vivo NEX
Vivo turned a lot of heads with its original NEX phone. It came with a small sliding module that housed the front camera of the Vivo NEX. This not only made the phone nearly edge-to-edge, it also made the phone a lot cooler as nobody had attempted this sort of design before.Originally known as the Vivo APEX concept phone, the company decided to mass produce it, renaming it to NEX.
The trend caught on, with Oppo eventually releasing a phone with a bigger slider module which housed 3D face scanners and the rear cameras. Xiaomi and Huawei both had their own takes on the concept, releasing manual slider phones (Mi Mix 3 and Honor Magic 2) that use magnets to lock into place.
