In June this year, rumors of an upcoming Sony smartphone with Hexa-sensor rear camera
were making rounds on the internet. Turns out, Sony is actually working
on an eight sensors camera smartphone (6 on the back, 2 on the front)
and the smartphone will be dubbed the Xperia 0.
Currently, the Nokia 9 PureView holds the record for most rear
cameras (five in total). However, Sony might take things a step further
in the first quarter of 2020.
Even though the Company has not made an official statement yet, many
famous leaksters have confirmed the news. On top of featuring the
highest number of camera sensors, the smartphone is expected to come
with 5G connectivity and other flagship specifications.
Rumors are that the smartphone will feature Sony’s IMX586 CMOS 48 MP
sensor as the primary lens. Details of other sensors are not known but
Xperia 0 might feature a telephoto lens, a wide-angle lens, a depth
sensor, and a black and white lens.
Apart from this, the Sonia Xperia 0 is expected to come with a tall
20:9 aspect ratio display with 4K resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate.
None of the information in this article is official, hence, take it with a grain of salt and stay tuned for more updates.
