Recently, an Indian leakster leaked the complete specifications of the upcoming Redmi K30 (4G).
Based on the recent leak, the smartphone will be built around a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with an elliptical punch hole to house the dual sensor selfie camera. The display will come with support for a 120 Hz refresh rate and will provide a toggle between 60 Hz and 120 Hz. This decision seems like a step back considering how the K20 Pro had an almost completely bezel-less display.
Internally, the smartphone, according to leaks, will be powered by Snapdragon 730G SoC similar to its predecessor Redmi K20 topped with 64 GB onboard storage. The RAM specification is still under wraps.
Apart from this, Redmi K30 Pro, K30’s maxed-out sibling, may come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 5G SoC. This was hinted by the Company’s General Manager Lu Weibing in a congratulatory post to MediaTek. It looks like both companies are working as partners again.
The chipset is a viable alternative to the Snapdragon 865 that is expected to release at the start of 2020. If the rumors are believed, adding this chipset to the upcoming flagship will be a huge win for the Taiwanese company.
On the software front, it will run on MIUI 11 skinned Android 10.
