Xiaomi India’s global Vice President and Managing Director has
recently confirmed that Pocophone has become an independent brand and
will be producing its own lineup this year, similar to Redmi.
The news comes amidst rumors regarding a successor device for the
Poco F1, known as the Poco F2. While there is nothing new on the Poco F2
yet, a new leak for the Poco F2 Lite has surfaced instead.
A YouTuber named RevAtlas has shared live photos for the device on his channel and one of the images show the moniker “Poco F2 Lite”.
The image shows the device sporting a waterdrop notch and appears to
be running the global version of MIUI 11. Another image shows the entire
display with slim bezels and a significant chin, similar to the Redmi
Note 7.
The YouTuber revealed that the Poco F2 Lite will feature the
Snapdragon 765 SoC with 6GB RAM, 5000 mAh battery and a “very
high-resolution camera”. The leak also included a text claiming that the
Poco F2 Lite will be cheaper than last year’s Poco F1.
Some users are speculating that it might, in fact, be a Redmi Note 7
with a modded version of MIUI. The YouTuber also said that there is no
confirmation whether these images are real or fake, so take this
information with a grain of salt.
