Realme is a relatively new mobile phone brand that has a close relationship with OPPO and has just launched it's fourth mobile, Realme 3
in Pakistan. However, it has already unveiled seven mobile phones
internationally, in the Indian market, the company ranks as the fourth
largest mobile brand with OPPO, and the growth rate is amazing.
Although
Realme has launched seven models overseas, all of these either belong
to the entry-level or mid-range categories. Even the recently announced realme 3 Pro
uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. Well, if not mid-range, it
can only be considered as something in the middle of mid to high-end, at
most, and so the company has no flagship phone so far.
However,
all that is about to be changed with the upcoming X series. Yes, you
read it right, there'll not be one but a whole series. Earlier, only the
Realme X was in rumors with a retractable front camera but now the
leaks have confirmed that the company will launch a whole new "realme X"
series. The new lineup could include three models: realme X, realme X
pro and the realme X lite.
There's
not much info available on the lite variant, however, some common
features of the rest of the two top of the line may include a Pop-Up selfie camera,
a fifth-generation Gorilla Glass, VOOC 3.0 flash, An optical in-display
fingerprint scanner, and a 48MP main camera. However, the pro variant comes with a Triple Camera setup of 48MP + 8MP + 13MP while the X has only two 48MP + 2MP.
The realme X Pro is said to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor to counter the Redmi's Snapdragon 855 flagship (also coming soon). The Pro variant will have a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, 32MP selfie Pop-Up selfie shooter and 4000mAh battery. in addition, it'll come with either 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128GB gigs of internal storage. The 6GB variant will be priced at 2,299 RMB or 48,400 Pakistani rupees and 8GB version will have a price tag of RMB 2,599 or about 55,000/- PKR without tax.
As for realme X, it is a mid-to-high-end product also equipped with a Pop-up front camera but with a Snapdragon 730 processor. It will be available in 6+64GB, 6+128GB and 8+128GB variants. The price is said to be 1,599 yuan or about 33,700 Pakistani rupees for the base variant with 6+64GB. The 6+128GB will cost around 1,799 yuan or 37,800 Pak rupees and the top of the line 8GB/128GB will carry a price tag of 1,999 yuan, roughly translated to some 42,000 PKR, without tax.
